About Us

The Central North Dakota Daylily Society was started in 2002 to give people who grew and enjoyed daylilies a chance to get to know others who shared their enthusiasm, and to educate the many others who thought daylilies were old fashioned flowers that were orange or ‘that gold one’. The club holds regular meetings four times a year; dues are $5.00 a year. In the spring there is an auction of daylilies for members only and in July a tour is held of area gardens with daylilies. CNDDS is an affiliated member of the American Hemerocallis Society.

Since the club started we have seen a change in the public’s perception of the daylily. Daylilies are now showing up in public plantings, with some city beds devoted mainly to daylilies.
